General Informations
The course objective in a nutshell
Understand what Operational Technology (OT) means - the characteristics, the issues - and how to ensure that the challenges of these systems are addressed properly.
Material
The school provides you with the equipment you need for practical work. However, you will need a laptop with a recent operating system (Windows 10/11, Linux, MacOS) and an IoT device that can connect to a central infrastructure using wireguard.
Communication
The course Moodle chat functionality will be used for exchanges between students and lecturers. With this, we can ensure that everyone has access with the communication platform timely.

Marking
The course is composed by 2 elements composing the final mark :
- An exam at the end of the course
- A project separated in 3 phases: A, B and
C
- Phase A, B and Phase C gives you a maximum of \(0.1\) each
- The phases need to be realized all - one needs to have delivered Phase A and B to be able to qualify for C (equivalent for Phase B, where A needs to be provided)
Summarizing:
\(Mark = Mark_{Exam} + Mark_{Phase A} + Mark_{Phase B} + Mark_{Phase C}\)
This means that the project can give you up to \(0.3\) in bonus
Warning
Failing to deliver all 3 phases will not result in any bonus at all - as it is delivering an empty Phase C.
